Overview
ScoreTally ("we", "our", "the app") is a sports club management application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Data We Collect
- Account information: Display name, email address, and club membership details you provide during registration.
- Tournament data: Match scores, fixture information, team compositions, and scheduling data created through normal app usage.
- Device identifiers: A locally-generated device fingerprint for session management. No hardware IDs are collected.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Location data
- Contact lists
- Photos or media (unless you explicitly upload)
- Browsing history outside the app
- Payment or financial information
How We Use Your Data
- Provide club tournament and league management features
- Display live scores and match information to club members
- Authenticate your identity within your club
- Improve app reliability and fix bugs
Data Storage
Data is stored in Firebase Realtime Database and the ScoreTally server, both hosted on Google Cloud Platform in the United States.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Tournament data (scores, fixtures) is visible to members of your club as part of the app's core functionality. We do not share personal data with third parties except:
- Google Firebase — infrastructure provider (covered by Google's privacy terms)
- Law enforcement — only if legally required
Data Retention
Tournament data is deleted when the club super-user deletes the tournament. All club data is deleted when the super-user deletes the club.
Your Rights
Members should contact their club admin (super-user) to request data correction or deletion. Club data management is handled by the club's designated roles.
Children's Privacy
ScoreTally is intended for use by sports club members aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
